APC Voice & Data Communications believes in giving the customer more for their money and we do that by using only Category 5E or better cabling for both Voice and Data networks. A telephone network and a data network are essentially the same (they are both computer based technologies), and with VoIP Networks becoming more widely used, requiring only one cable to connect both systems to the network, it makes perfect sense to use only Cat 5E or better copper cable for your network design.
APC uses this policy to ensure our customer's infrastructure doesn't become obsolete and to allow for maximum flexibility during future upgrades. By doing this we can save clients money and use telephone cabling for data applications doubling the network capacity or providing a backup network if the client converts to VoIP in the future. Either way each client protects their investment!
